Circumcision

Circumcision

In male human beings the word circumcision means surgical removal of the skin fold (foreskin), which covers the front part of the male genital organ (penis). The foreskin becomes lose and retractable as one passes through adolescence, making it easy to clean under the skin fold where dead skin cells and other waste material accumulate and become favourable culture medium for bacteria and viruses. Production of such waste material becomes prominent through adolescence and beyond. Human papilloma virus (HPV), which causes cervical cancer in women, is known to proliferate here if left uncleaned.
